The Family Quiz took place last Friday night in St. Joseph’s. This event was organised by the Parents’ Association. It was really well supported by the families in our school community. 58 family teams registered to take part and there was a fantastic atmosphere. Mr. Lynch as usual did a great job as quiz-master. Each child from 2nd to 6th was invited to make up one question for the quiz. There were lots of raffle prizes all provided by our very generous sponsors. It was a night for families to spend time together and to have fun together. We had a poster competition before the night of the quiz and there was one prize-winner at each class level. One of the children’s poster summed up the meaning of family on her poster. She wrote, ‘Family is where life begins … and love never ends.’
We thank all of the members of the Parents’ Association who made this great event possible and we thank the many members of staff who helped out on the night with the running of the quiz. Well done to the winning teams and to everyone who took part. It was a wonderful and memorable night for us all!
