Ms. O’Reilly’s fifth class took part in Microsoft’s ChIP Project. This project aims to teach coding in primary schools by using a series of educational games and hands-on activities. A number of groups in the class came up with ides for new inventions which were then created through coding, under the guidance of Antoinette Pentony, Project Worker with the Navan School Completion Programme and Class Teacher, Méabh O’Reilly. The children’s work culminated in a trip to Microsoft Headquarters on 6th June where the children had the opportunity to present their projects. It was a wonderful experience and we thank NSCP for all of their work with the pupils in St. Joseph’s.
