The Parents’ Association held their annual fundraiser on Friday, 7th June. This year the fundraiser took the form of a ‘Mileathon’. The 6th class pupils marked out the course early on Friday morning and we were blessed with beautiful sunshine for the event. All of our classes took part in the running which started at 9.30am and continued right up to the end of the day. Many of our children are already very fit because they have taken part in the ‘Mile a Day’ initiative with their class teachers during the year.
We are very grateful to St. Mary’s Credit Union, Navan, for their very generous sponsorship of this event. The Credit Union supplied fruit and water for all of the children on the day and every child also received a gift from the Credit Union after their run.
The children really enjoyed their day and we thank the Parents’ Association for their organisation of this event. This fundraiser will fund many of the events organised by the Parents’ Association during the coming school year.
