Some of the children in Ms. Casey’s second class have been taking part in an initiative called ‘Time to Read’ with volunteers from Generali. Last Wednesday, 5th December, the children were invited to visit Generali to meet the volunteers in their workplace. The children got a full tour of the office and saw business in action! After their tour the children were treated to pizzas and drinks in the canteen. Many of the Generali staff came to welcome the children. The visit ended with the children singing ‘Go Forth with a Song’ and ‘Jingle Bells’ much to the delight of the staff! We would like to thank sincerely the Generali employees and especially Nessa MacDonagh for their generosity and warm welcome. We thank also Kate Horton of ‘Business in the Community’ for her organisation of this initiative. The children had a wonderful day and left with bags full of goodies!
