On Friday, 27th September, we welcomed the Meath Ladies’ Junior County Champions to our school. Ms. Leahy is a member of the O’Mahonys team which won the County Final on Sunday, 22nd September. Ms. Leahy introduced us to the team captain, Kate Falahee and other members of the team. It was also Jersey Day in our school! Ms. Leahy spoke to all of the children about the value of sport in our lives – for fitness, for making new friends and for well-being. Afterwards we took photos of the winning team with our own girls’ football team. It was a great occasion for our school.
